Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer is an important player in music in the Latin mainstream. Una Lady Como Tu (his smash hit from 2016) received an Colombian Kids Choice Award, 2017 Favorite Song. He released his debut long-player ADN to the local Sony distributor in Medellin La Industria Inc. Its Top Latin Albums chart ranked the album at 8. Vaina Loca is the Top Five hit of Ozuna's Top Five album in 2007, saw him join Ozuna. In 2020, he collaborated with Noriel for Mala Influencia and then released her debut album Dopamina in the following year. He appeared later in 2021 as a duo with TINI on her streaming smash track Maldita Foto. 2000 also saw the huge song La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo has an musical family, as both his parents and brother are also musicians. Turizo has told interviews that music was a necessity. While a boy, he studied the guitar as well as the saxophone. The initial goal was to be a veterinarian however, his brother Julian convinced him to study to sing with a Cuban instructor. The end result was that he realized his talent for singing and transformed his career path.
