Rosalia

Rosalia Vila, also known as Rosalia, is an Spanish singer from flamenco. Since the age of 13 she has been a participant in pop music and flamenco. She also explores various genres, including hip-hop soul and trap. The flamenco guitar player Pepe habichuela described her voice as delicate and sharp, however she still having the grit of more mature singers. El Mal Querer was her major commercial and critical breakthrough in the year 2018. Following the release of Los Angeles garnered her attention and earned her a Latin Grammy Nomination for Best New Artist, it topped Billboard's Latin Pop Albums and she received a Grammy. In 2021, the single La Fama with The Weeknd came out. Motomami, her third album included songwriting collaborations with Cory Henry and James Blake. The release date was the 20th of March, 2022 after the show of Chicken Teriyaki by Saturday Night Live. Rosalia was the first Spanish singer who performed solo in the program. Motomami Rosala as well as winning three Latin Grammy Awards and the Latin Album of the Year award twice, was the first female to be awarded both.
