Madhuri Dixit
Madhuri has been a popular Indian actress, who gained fame for her role in Hum Aapke Hain Koun as well as Beta Saajan. She began her career in the 1980s and came into prominence thanks to her character in the Tezaab film, in which she appeared alongside an established actor Anil Kapoor. In the following film, Dil, Aamir Khan appeared as well. The daughter of a middle class family in Mumbai she started learning dancing at a young age. At the age of 15, she started acting but was not successful as a lot of her movies were unsuccessful. Then she found her way to success and then was one of the top actors in the Indian film industry. After marriage, she experienced a break in her career before re-entering the film industry. She was a key character on Gulaab Gang, a film about women's struggles in India. Dixit has been nominated for 15 Filmfare Awards. Of these she's received 8. Padma Shri was awarded to her, which is the fourth-highest civil honour in India. Also, she is well acknowledged for her work in the field of charity.
